Super proud of my pupil Bree, who passed her test this morning 🎉 She has been learning to drive in secret, without even her children knowing, so that one day she could tell them she’d learnt to drive and see their reaction, which she has wanted to do for so long. This pass means so much to Bree and to me as her instructor as she has shown unwavering determination to achieve her goal. I’m really proud of how far you have come Bree and always knew that you could do it once driving became an instinctive process for you.

Learning to drive is something I was nervous to start and had been putting off, but when Pete and his family were down in St Ives on holiday and visited my parent's shop, we met by coincidence. I started driving in the September of 2021 when returning to Exeter for university and I immediately felt at ease with Pete. He has a very encouraging and patient approach and I will really miss our weekly lessons. Thanks Pete!

Pete was an excellent instructor who was very calm and patient. He helped me gain confidence in a non-judgemental way in an area that I was new to. He was able to accommodate my shift working pattern, which was beneficial in allowing me to get the most out of the lessons and when I passed my test. I would 100% recommend Peter Bates Drivier Training for anyone wanting to learn to drive in a positive and friendly atmosphere.

Qualified Instructor
Peter has been instructing pupils since 2018 and has passed his final test to become a fully qualified, Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

Lessons available in Exeter, at times throughout the week, including some evenings and weekends.
